How We Can Assist You With Human Factors ...

Interface Analysis / Usernomics can apply human factors expertise to the development of your idea or the design of your product.

Consultant for Human Factors, Human Engineering, Engineering Psychology

Consultant for Human Factors, Human Engineering, User Centered Design, Engineering Psychology. Human Factors Contribution

When designing hardware or software, Human Factors must be considered during the planning stage and throughout the project. Too often, Human Factors is considered only at the end-stages of product design. which results in either costly changes or reluctance to change the design.

Applying Human Factors early in the process allows you to make changes and increase the learning speed, efficiency and comfort level with a product, which translates into product acceptance and use.

Our Role

Interface Analysis / Usernomics can assist your company by applying a Human Factors perspective to your concept, product or service. We can help to make your product usable, effective, and accepted by end users by taking a user-centered Human Factors approach. Our Human Factors expertise allows us to provide our clients with realistic solutions to designing user-centered products and procedures. We are happy to apply our expertise to projects varying from high tech consumer products to larger systems... computer software and hardware to aircraft and automobiles.

Expertise

While product engineers focus on technology, we focus on the end-user. Our Human Factors methodology is user-centered with an emphasis on a systematic methodology for creating products that are easy to learn, easy to use, and aesthetically pleasing. We work with design engineers to integrate our Human Factors design into the overall product design for greater efficiency. We apply a rigorous and systematic technique when applying Human Factors to product design. This process can include heuristic evaluation, contextual inquiry, usability testing, product design, instructional design, and the methods necessary to ensure that the final product is usable, well-accepted by end-users, and a leader in the marketplace.

Professional Staff

Our staff of Engineering Psychologists and Human Factors Specialists focuses on designing usable products and on enabling users to efficiently learn to use them, and has applied this approach to over 1000 products in countless domains. This permits us to view Human Factors as part of a cycle for making products usable, resulting in user-friendly design, aesthetic appeal, user knowledge, user productivity, user acceptance and user satisfaction.
