Usability Quote of the Day

February 3, 2012

The public is more familiar with bad design than good design. It is, in effect, conditioned to prefer bad design, because that is what it lives with. The new becomes threatening, the old reassuring. -- Paul Rand    (via interaction-design.org)

Waist Level Viewer

With medium format film cameras, the waist-level viewfinder was a useful, if not expensive, addition to a photographer’s camera bag. When low elevation shots need to be taken with a digital camera where the camera has to be near the ground, there are few alternatives to the photographer having to ‘get down’ to the subject to view the screen. Until now.

Instantly attachable screen viewer suitable for most digital cameras. The Zenon WL Viewer flips the screen image position by 90degrees (and inverts) – the image appears to be protruding directly out from the lower edge of the screen.

A high-technology lens/reflector produces an image brightness almost as bright as the camera screen itself and with added image contrast.

Bright sunlight conditions?

The Zenon WL Viewer improves the screen image contrast considerably. Viewing angle is good and image distortion is low. Screen colours are faithfully reproduced.(Via BECKHAMDigital)
