Usability Quote of the Day

May 23, 2012

There's something very odd going on here. If designers made completely unrealistic assumptions about the physical world when designing technology, then we would blame them (and likely sue them) for technical incompetence. Yet when they make grossly unrealistic assumptions about human nature... we don't blame the designers, we blame the unfortunate people who are just trying to do what the design requires. -- Kim Vicente, The Human Factor, p. 45.    (via interaction-design.org)

The 3D browser by NTT

A different User Experience using this 3D browser ...

"NTT will release its Space Browser in October. This is a 3D browser in which the pages of the websites will be in 3D, so that the surfing experience is as "natural" as possible and the navigation through the structure of the website is improved. As you can see on the images below, it looks rather nice. A pity though that this development is not for your average John Doe, because it's mainly aimed at companies that want to show content on certain points or key areas."   continued ...   (Via Akihabara News)
