Importance of Ergonomics

Over the past several years, considerable emphasis has been placed on the ergonomic evaluation of (employee) workstations. Truth is, however, there's much more to a safe and healthy work environment than a new monitor stand, an expensive keyboard tray, and what can be determined from a tape measure. In fact, there is much more to ergonomics than just the computer workstation!

Our Role

At IAA we take an "ecological" approach, whether your workplace is an office, laboratory, or on a production line. Based on a methodological assessment developed for the specific environment, we'll determine where changes in procedures, schedules, equipment, setup and lifestyle can reduce the potential for injury, provide relief from repetitive motion, and increase productivity.

Workplace Evaluation Experience

Past IAA projects have included the evaluation of agricultural harvesting and production line facilities for a major food processor, evaluation of sonograph users for injury prevention, and the ergonomic assessment of a chewing gum wrapping facility.
